Bart Carlson is CEO & Founder of Azuba with responsibility for setting the overall direction for the company. Previously, he was the CEO & Co-Founder of Napersoft, now part of Azuba, which provides customer communications management solutions to the health insurance industry.
Bart serves on the interoperability committees for Carequality, DirectTrust, HIMSS, HL7 Da Vinci and The Sequoia Project. He previously served on the CMS/VA Blue Button Committee, as President of ITAA with 25,000+ member companies, and as Co-Founder of ITA.
Bart was VP/Co-Founder of Group 1 Software, a direct marketing public software company, and CEO/Co-Founder of NSL, a software marketing company. Bart has served in management, marketing, and technical positions at Deloitte, College of DuPage, WCC, NIC, Sundstrand, Burroughs, Xerox, and IBM.
Bart received his BS in Business Education & Marketing from Northern Illinois University.
David Corso is EVP & Chief Revenue Officer at Azuba, where he drives the company’s strategic growth and expansion through leadership in marketing, business development, and customer success. With over three decades of executive experience, David has held influential roles at UnitedHealthcare, Elevance Health, the BlueCross BlueShield Association, and CDS, a subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina.
David’s expertise lies in implementing innovative solutions and services for Commercial & Government Payers, as well as Integrated Health Systems, significantly improving the lives of millions of beneficiaries. Known for his visionary approach, he has consistently achieved cost reductions, enhanced technical efficiency, and elevated health outcomes.
Passionate about fostering strong customer relationships, David combines real-world technological experience with a customer-centric approach. This philosophy drives the generation of next-generation ideas, their development, and implementation, ensuring they are practical and beneficial for Azuba’s clients.
David holds a BA in Communications from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
Tom Grannan is the SVP/CTO of Azuba with years of experience developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructures and technical solutions in the software industry. Previously, he served as SVP/CTO of Napersoft, now part of Azuba, where he leads the development of the company’s prominent position in customer communications management solutions.
He has superior expertise with development methodologies, developer supervision and client relations. And, he has a track record of surpassing goals and expectations for quality, schedule and cost while implementing leading-edge IT solutions.
Tom is involved with several industry groups including Carequality, DirectTrust and HL7 setting national policies on interoperability. Previously, while at Platinum Technology, Tom was the lead developer for their Quick Copy product and a contributor for their Log Analyzer product. Tom received his BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from Northern Illinois University
Ed Hebda is the VP of Professional Services with years of enterprise-level IT consulting and management experience. Previously, Ed served as VP of Professional Services at Napersoft, now part of Azuba, where he led the company’s professional services operations. Under Ed’s direction, Azuba’s on going customer satisfaction programs continue to enjoy the industries’ highest levels of customer loyalty.
Prior to Azuba, Ed was Co-founder and Senior Consulting Services Manager at Sysgenics, Inc., a private IT consulting and training services company specializing in financial and Customer Relationship Management-based solutions for the insurance industry. He also served as Manager of Consulting Services at Avatar, Inc. where he provided IT consulting services for clients of financial and CRM-based solutions.
Ed received his Bachelor of Science in information systems and computer programming from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN.
Mike Twaddell is the VP & CFO of Azuba with responsibility for managing all financial, human resources and back-office operations. Previously, he served as VP/CFO of Napersoft, now part of Azuba.
Mike previously embarked on his entrepreneurial career with Home Diagnostics (sold to Nipro Diagnostics), TherMatrx (sold to American Medical Systems), TheraSys Physical Therapy Management Services (sold to private investors), and Metrix Physical Therapy & Fitness. Mike began his career with CF Industries in various accounting and finance positions. He subsequently worked for Baxter Healthcare in finance, product development, and marketing positions.
Mike holds a CPA Certificate in Illinois. He received his BBA in Accounting from the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma and received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
